Gregor and I just came back from our quick trip to Vorarlberg. Together with my friend Kathi and her daughter Linda we enjoyed for 4 days Vorarlberg’s nature and architecture. People in Vorarlberg know how to combine modern architecture and traditional craftsmanship and it’s also quite natural to preserve old houses. The local type of houses ist the ‘Bregenzerwälderhaus’ with a facade made of shingles and almost everyone of it has shutters in the most beautiful colours – very inspiring for me due to our new old house has shutters, too!
Also Vorarlberg’s landscape is amazing! Lush meadows, snow-covered mountains, old trees and of course many cows. We love Vorarlberg!
